Hotwire names Karyn Barr U.S. CEO

The big picture: Barr joins Nov. 16, coming from leading Zeno's U.S. technology practice, overseeing growth, marketing and operations.

• Before that, she spent nearly two decades at Allison Worldwide, where she held several leadership positions, including president of global operations for its technology practice.
• She also helped build Allison's global AI center of excellence and develop AI products for clients.

Zoom in: Barr will join Hotwire's global executive committee and oversee U.S. operations, help grow the business and shape how the agency uses AI and brings together PR, marketing and search to serve their clients.

What they're saying: "The expectations placed on communications and marketing leaders today are fundamentally different from what they were even a year ago," Barr said.

• "What drew me to Hotwire is its belief that the future doesn't belong to agencies that evolve incrementally. It belongs to those willing to reinvent themselves."
