Scoop: Holtec cuts staff and shuffles leadership of delayed Palisades reactor restart

Holtec International cut hundreds of workers and reshuffled leadership as its Palisades nuclear restart fell roughly a year behind schedule, five industry sources tell Axios Pro.

Why it matters: Ballooning costs and repeated delays on the restart of the Palisades Nuclear Plant in Michigan contributed to Holtec's decision to cancel its IPO this fall, according to those sources, who were granted anonymity for professional protection.
