Follow the money: New investor Madrona was joined by existing backers Creandum and Entrepreneurs First. The company previously raised $20 million.

How it works: The platform has two different agents — Jack and Jill.

Jack, which is free for users, sets up a voice call to better understand what someone wants in their role beyond salary and benefits, including work-life balance and culture.

Jill, a paid agent for companies, gathers information on the workplace environment and the company's goals to assess which candidate may best fit open positions.

Both agents use what they learned to search the internet for matches.

By the numbers: Jill so far has worked with 5,000 companies, including Tavus, Faculty, Ramp, Attio, and Corgi.

Jack has worked with nearly 400,000 job seekers.

What's next: The new funding will help Jack & Jill — which has offices in San Francisco and New York — grow in the U.S.
